Free and Open Source Software

I develop, maintain and contribute to different free and open source software projects. Besides many small contributions on various projects, my most important contributions include:

• libjaylink (Interface library for SEGGER J-Link and compatible debug probes)
• OpenOCD (On-chip debug software for microcontrollers, FPGAs and similar embedded devices)
• python-openocd (Python interface library for OpenOCD)
• sigrok (cross-platform software suite for signal acquisition and analysis)

Hardware Security Research

Security research is another of my fields of activity. My focus is on the hardware security of embedded devices, which fits well with the free and open source projects I mainly work on. Part of my private and professional research is published on my personal blog at blog.zapb.de.
